JDM License Plate

i got my hands on these jdm plates that light up.

is it illegal to have these jdm plates on your car? i see a few people now and then driving on the road with them on the front.

    not here in SC, but i can't speak for wherever anyone else may be. check with your local DMV.

    You could run both plates.If you run just the JDM front plate.You could get a ticket (from cop or metermaid)for no front plates(CALIF) and if the cop wants to bust your chops(or be a *sshole) he can give you a ticket for the wrong plate on your car & impound the car.Probably won't happen.
    In some states a front plate is optional.

    Sorry, no answers here, but could you flip that over and take a couple pics on what makes that thing tick? And some thoughts on the feasibility of converting a usdm license plate.
