wipers don't work

HELP

I'm working on putting my 87 wagon , back on the road, my wipers worked at first, i removed the security system someone had put on it, no factory wires were cut, and now no wipers or washers. What is the best way to check for shorts, everytime I put a new fuse in , it blows it. If the wiper motor is bad will it blow the fuse. It worked for awhile, after i put the first new fuse in, shut the hood to pull out of the garage, started it back up , no wipers. any suggestions, also my hazards don't work.

Thanks
Roger

Unplug Battery and then put in the new fuse, then put the terminal back on...Try that and see what happends. I hate when i blow a shitload of fuses haahahah

Tried disconnecting the battery, no go still blows the fuse, has anyone ever replaced the combination switch, the one that controls the wipers, lights, hazards and turn signals, is it possible that it could be bad and blowing the fuse. One more thing does honda use a hazard flasher relay like domestic cars

    Thanks

Hmm now ya got me thinking. I had a fuse always blow..You might have some wires touching somewhere making it Blow....Whas the owners manual say for troubleshooting?

The owners manual is no help, I've looked for the wires that might be touching, no luck

Try disconnecting the wiper.Put a fuse in& see if it blows. If it blows the short is probably in the wiring.
Check the mechanics.See if the bushings areOK.Any thing jamming or sticking.
There is a tool for checking shorts. It plugs or clips into the fuse. Then you go checking for the short. What it does is as it overheats from the short it turns the wiper on & off till you find the short.

There is a hazard relay in the '88+ so there's most likely 1 in yours.Try turning the hazard switch on & off several times. This sometimes cleans the internal contacts.
    Good luck.
