Marketplace?

hi there, i've been looking at this forum since sometime last year, when i bought my 90 rt4wd wagon. put about 8-10k miles on it over the winter (m-f, daily 80 mile plus commute, december through march), with just a little bit of work needed (new main relay, window seals, valve seals, general cleaning). the wagon is basically stock. i've thought about rebuilding the engine or getting a used engine installed, as it goes through a bit of oil (1qt/250-330 mi.), but i thought i'd try a heavier weight oil first, to see what that does to oil consumption (you can buy a lot of oil for the cost of a rebuild....). and this summer, i've started some rust repair, cutting out rusted spots on the rockers, and spot welding in patch panels. if it's not too terrible looking when i'm done (luckily this will get covered over by the rocker plastic), i may give the quarters a try.
anyway, what my question is, how do you get access to the marketplace forum? i've read the rules, and it seems as though i ought to be able to get a look here, but i always get the message, 'you do not have the required permission...(or whatever it says).
am i missing something?

bingo
The idea is, that you read the rules first. Then follow them. But no one does.
You're supposed to start an intro thread, like the one we're currently reading. FIRST. At which point you go on to have 5 posts. At this point you should gain access.
But people go and post 10, 20, whatever amount of times. Then they read the rules. Then they start an intro thread. Which glitches the system.
Our software is being updated/upgraded in January. Hang tight.... most of us have been here 5/6+ years... you can all wait lol
I am in kind of the same boat as you. I have 234K on the stock motor and it uses a little oil at high speeds. Around town it is fine. My plan is to get a SOHC ZC from hmotorsonline and have it installed in 1-2 years. I also got a spare transmission that I am going to have mechanic I know go through and put that in too.
oh i am in sccool Cool shool
