Keep the wagon or sell it?

So I'm thinking of possibly selling my wagon. Why?

1. Rear quarters are rusted out to the point where exhaust is getting in and I do not have the know how to weld or the cash to have someone do it for me. Red duct tape can only go so far.

2. The original D16A6 is burning oil and smoking up a storm and again, I do not have the know how or cash to rebuild it properly.

There are other smaller issues to deal with as well.

I may have a buyer lined up who I believe will pretty much just use the rt4wd for a hatch project. I may be able to possibly make a trade too.

Or, do I keep the car, save up for a dd (88-91 civic hatch prolly unless I can find a later model hatch with having to make any monthly payments) and take a welding class and fix it up slowly? I can always buy a used D16 right

I love this car but there comes a time where a decision needs to be made.

Your opinions? Thanks!

depending on how much you can get for it, i say sell it and try a different honda. You can always go back to a different wagon in the future if you want. Seems like it needs too much work
  • sounds like it's time to part it out?

Time to part her out. I don't think you should sell the car with the intent for someone to drive it considering what has rusted underneath.

    Nooooooooooooooooooo...
  • Looks like I may have an EF hatch sitting in the driveway in about a month or so. So, depending on how that goes, I may have a wagon to either sell or part out next month.

Might be a little late, but I vote sell it in the name of safety and finance.
