New here, 91 si converted to rt4wd

hey guys im new here and just thought id post up my car and maybe get some information

1991 civic si
built z6
340hp on pump gas
converted to rt4wd (previously built by epic tuning)

has a couple minor problems like the clutch is wayy to stiff so i want to install a clutch master and slave setup so i wont have to worry about cable stretch

also trying to rebuild the shifter as it feels way too loose imo

i am the 3rd owner since it was converted to awd

the guy i just bought it from bought it as an impulse buy and didnt really know much about it except that its fast

im hoping to make it into an all around fun car that can run 10's on pump gas and street tires, and also make it into a respectable street/autocross car
  • How many miles is on the RWD gear? i.e. the shafts, viscous coupler, rear diff, etc.
  • saxonsaxon Band Wagon
not exactly sure, but i know 5,000 miles are on it from the past 2 owners at the current power level

I always thought this was a stock z6...that was part of the marvel of it all. Chrome + stock z6 = 400hp.

Either way...hope you enjoy it! :)

it was stock z6 for awhile, then all 4 rods bent (still ran) so they did a built bottom end

Very cool project. What was done structurally to the car to get everything to fit in the rear end.

super sexy... now did the gas tank from a wagon not fit under the ef? coz i know its split in the middle right?
  • saxonsaxon Band Wagon
im not sure about the gas tank as it has a fuel cell

and the turbo is a gt2871r. (absolutely great for a d series_)
  • any dyno charts?
  • saxonsaxon Band Wagon
no dyno charts currently, but here is one on the previous motor which was stock and compared to a 30r

Wow never thought that could be done. Lots of custom stuff. Anything is possible I guess.
