D16z6 into 89 wagovan. resistor box issue

I'm swapping a z6 into my wagon. I have all the wiring conversions done.

My last one is the elimination of the resistor box. I simply can't find it. It should be right by the brake booster. I looked all throughout the engine bay just incase, and I even looked under the dash incase it was relocated for whatever reason.

There are no signs that it was eliminated, and there are no signs it was even there.

Do 1989s have a resistor box? I would think so because you need it to run obd0 injectors... Please help?

Do I put in my motor and not worry about it... or am i going to fry injectors...

    If the oE engine was dpfi, there was no box. (i.e. unless it was an RT4WD).

    When you converted the engine harness, where did you get injector power from? Should be a yellow/ black stripe wire from the left shock tower plug.

    ahh thank yhou! you answered my next question. I was under the understanding all obd0s had to have a resistor box. I have the harness soldered with the power wire connecting to two black/yellow wires. now I know where it goes. thank you!

    final question, where do i go with the other 4 yellow/black wires coming out of the injector clips??

    Straight to injector power yel/blk. Stock obd1 harnesses have a big gray plug for all those wires.

    i know the plug you are talking about. I have two yellow/blacks soldered to a single wire going to the wire on top of the shock tower. Can I run the remaining ones into that plug? Or will all the injectors not recieve power? I just don't see them all recieving power that way in my mind but I am probably wrong..

    You need all 4 running to the same feed.

    i tap into the yellow black wire for injector power on the female end of the harness correct?
