When i converted mine I put about 2 1/2 cans in mine, I used a pressure gauge to get it close to the right fill. It also depends on your elevation as to how much it will take.
thanks for the replies. the issue here is that my beagle came r134a from factory and all the components are made for 134a so idk if adding the amount of 134A as done with a r12 to 134a conversion is a good idea. heres a pic for clicks
Doodle, if there's any difference volume-wise it would logically be a larger condenser to help counter the higher head pressures seen with 134a. Maybe, but I doubt it.
Ask EagleBeagle if his has a label with the info. I know only one of the wagons I've done had it.
thanks for the advice bam. i charged it yesterday at honda according to the 94-95 spec which is 1.2 lbs. its blowing steady at 48 degrees. im happy with it.
bad news.... ac stopped kicking on the day after the charge. seems like theres still some refrigerant because i pushed down the schraeder valves and they hissed out. it was blowing 48 at idle and 45 while on the highway.

That just doesn't sound like enough of a charge- that's ~1/2 what I have in mine.
bam....eagle..... your both right.... it takes 2lbs and some change but i also have a leak. this is not gonna be fun cause the leak is on a hose thats gonna be hard to replace since its rhd
