    :hopelessness:

And now we are swapping the rear floor pan:

    457.jpg

    458.jpg

    459.jpg

Now rear suspension has to be 5cm more in the rear and 2cm lower

    460.jpg

So we are modify the rear wheel arch:

Now we will finish the other side, the back is already finish, and after we have to modify the tunnel!!
  • Holy shit!!!!!!!

    Holy shit!!!!!!!

    ditto.

    very impressive.

so your floorpan swapping the rt into the ef9?
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
Yes, it is an ED7 with the rear floor pan of the EE4.

There are others ways to do the conversion, maybe easier, but my purpose is to have something discrete, something like Honda could do.

Next week I'll be on holidays so I hope it will move faster... I will keep you informed! Thanks for your comments ;)

Now THAT is awesome.. This would be fun...
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
Yes really, when we cut the floor pan of the Civic with a friend, we look each other, and say "Woh, now we are crazy!!" And we laughed for 5minutes! ;)

    Some pictures of yesterday:

    Just to see the difference:

    543.jpg

At the beginning, I wasn't thinking that we will need to swap the tunnel so we have cut it too short at the rear end... So we will have to adapt a little... Nothing compare to the rest lol
    544.jpg

I will have to modify the fixation of my seat too, on the tunnel side they are higher than on the Civic...

    Cut, cut and cut!!

Welding is finish, sealing too, now we have to protect the underbody. And maybe next week end put the 4wd gearbox !! :D
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
Undercoat is done, fuel tank, handbrake cable, rear suspension, differential and propeller shaft are mounted.

    Again holy shit.

    Your making it look easy.

Interesting build. I can only imagine the heat soak in the radiator with the turbo that close.
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
    Thanks for comments ;)

For the moment, I have never try the car in summer so I never met any problem. Now I have a jacket on the turbine and with the next step, I will delete the Tbar to take away the radiator.

We have mounted the rear drivetrain, fuel lines, now we are modify the fuel tubing from the fuel trap, we have also made the hole for the tranny cables... Sorry I don't have any pictures and tomorrow I will leave for 2weeks in Portugal...

After that I will have few days to continue :encouragement:
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
I am very very lucky because my friend continue to work on it!!

We will finish the car maybe next week, but I don't have brackets for the rear disc conversion... Maybe I will wait for the Lowflyin' brackets or if it is too long we will have to fabricate them...
  • Nice fab work on that half shaft...always wondered if that would be possible
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
The car is nearly complete!! Only need rear brake brackets.

Tomorrow we bring it at home
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
    She is at home!

I need to change differential mounts, it shakes a lot and hits the rear subframe apart this all goes well, for the moment...;)

Small video (don't care about the noise, it was the handbrake cable which was touching the wheel)

Tomorrow I will try to design some brackets to hold rear calipers and contact some machinist this week...

Somebody is not effing around! Awesome project!

This is too cool, its been a while since I checked in on this thread- and it looks like she is already done!!! So RAD!!! love the RT sun visors!!
  • Somebody is not effing around!!

I see what you did there ;)
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
    Thank you guys!

First drawing of the calipers brackets is sent to the machinist for quotation and feedback.
It needs some minors modifications but for quotation should be enough.

holy crap this is going to look totally factory by the time you are done.

only thing that looks out of place right now is the brake line.
  • RiB'$RiB'$ Band Wagon
Brakes are done and I ride the car 2h this afternoon , on dry condition and then wet condition, even in first gear I am able to be full throttle without any traction loss!! I am very happy!!

Need some work to be perfect, fuel level sensor doesn't work, some boost cut or something like this, need to install rear diff bushing mod from VIPWryann... I hope i will be able to do a track day in few months!!

To bend the hand brake bracket
